Naked Lunch

Shifting from a characterization of the male to a characterization of the female in "Naked Lunch," Micheal Hollinger utilizes detailed characterization, extended metaphor and sarcastic irony to illustrate the complicated relationship between a dominant male and his submissive girlfriend.

  1. Noice, noice, very noice. Your thesis tickles my fancy. I like the shift. Though I might add that, according to the Keforian style of thesis-ing, if you acknowledge the shifts in characterization at the beginning of the thesis, it might be a little redundant if you also make it one of the predominant devices that you'll be looking at later in your analysis/essay. Other than that, it's strong, it's good, and I enjoy.

  2. I like how you used characterization in the beginning of your thesis and then described the roles of the people in the universal idea!
